Partnering
The Partnering System is proprietary software developed by BIO that allows attendees to utilize an online database tool to evaluate potential collaborations and funding opportunities with attending companies. Prior to the conference, attending participants can:
- Search company and delegate profiles
- Search database of licensing opportunities provided by attendees
- Communicate and schedule meetings directly with prospective funders and senior business and scientific management who are responsible for deal-making
- Pre-schedule private one-on-one meetings in rooms provided by the conference
- Meet with companies or academic researchers that fulfill particular pipeline or technology needs
- Meet face-to-face with funders or product development partnerships working in key disease areas
With the overall objective of creating a friendly environment to initiate business contacts, scheduled meetings take place in 30-minute intervals. Prior to the conference, pre-scheduled meetings are arranged via the online Partnering System by a BIO team member. This industry-specific, Web-based interactive software enables participants to move efficiently from the identification of prospective partners to discussion and negotiations. A login e-mail address and password is required to access the system, and can only be obtained by registering for the event and requesting a conference account.
